Wow, has it really been months since I posted an Obsessed List?  Well, don’t you worry because I have been busy obsessing about a lot of my favorite things!  So here we go…

Home – Finally winding down one of the busiest wedding and senior seasons yet.  And I’m not going to lie when I say my “slow” season is going to be getting a very warm welcome.  And time to focus on things here at home, namely my little family.  Most of you know that we have another little munchkin due in March, and now more than ever the definition of family has been redefined for Jeff and I.  And with life passing us by at the speed of light, The Happy Family Movement is a site that I’m happy to have discovered last year because it is chock full of great ideas.  You should check it out sometime.  It’s amazing!

Inspire – Wow, I think this is the first time my own face has actually made it into my Obsessed List.  Ok, that sounded weird. But in all seriousness, I am so inspired by the people in my life.  As in my everyday people.  Women mostly, and photographers.  A few weeks ago, I attended the HER Photography Conference in Grand Rapids and I was lucky enough to share the journey with three dear friends, my niece Candice, Rachel and Kendra.  It would be an understatement to say we had a ball.  I also got to see some other photographer friends from all parts of the state, and even meet some new faces.  The conference itself was packed full of some of my all-time favorites like Jessica Claire, Chenin Boutwell, Amy Wenzel, Bobby Sheridan, Jenn Bebb and Sarah Rhoads(pictured above) to name a few.  It was a awe inspiring.  These women were beyond amazing to listen to, meet and learn from their success.  Ok.  Back to this awesome group of girls I am lucky to call my friends.  We spent a few days together sharing ideas, hope and dreams and just soaking it all in.  I talk to each one of these girls a few times a week and get to shoot with them often.  They inspire me in so many ways, and I feel so lucky to have them hanging around.

Listen – I may as well just leave this one up.  Because any time that I have an itch to listen to good music, Pandora is my go to.  And lately, Beatles Radio is rocking my world.  It is playing non-stop at my desk, in my car, at my bedside.  I love everything about the genuisness called Pandora, and if you aren’t on board them you are really missing out.

Love – Fall.  I love everything about it.  I just love sweaters, boots, little jackets, gloves, scarves.  I. Love. It. All.  And this fall, there seems to be a trend that I honestly hope never goes out of style.  Over the knee socks with boots.  Oh, so cozy!!  I bought a few pairs last month when it started to get cold and love wearing them with my favorite fall boots.  I found some of my favorites at Urban Outfitters.  I’m happy to say that even with my short little legs I can pull it off.

Read – I am sad to say that I simply haven’t had made time to read this summer or fall.  But now that things are starting to wind down, I recently picked up (again) where I left off reading Wicked.  The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite stories of all time.  And let me prepare you, Wicked puts an entirely new spin on the classic.  it’s the tale of the Wicked Witch of the West, and it is simply mind-blowing.  Some parts are actually disturbing, but I find myself loving each and every page.

And lastly … Peace – ahhh, Yoga is back in my life in full force.  This certainly isn’t the first time Yoga has made an appearance on one of my Obsessed Lists.  And with this baby due in March, I must make time to stay in shape, find balance and enjoy being still.  Which I do.  I had been practicing at home here and there, but with a tv running in the background and a husband on the phone non-stop it was hard to get some peace and quiet. But I’m looking forward to visiting my favorite Yoga Studio, Yoga Shelterfor some ass-kicking, sweaty, blissful Yoga.  Bring it.  I am sooo ready.
