I am so excited for Hannah & Cameron’s beautiful Henry Ford wedding to make it’s debut on the blog today. Their wedding day the The Henry Ford Fairlane Estate and Dearborn Inn was simply incredible. I met Hannah last year when she was in her cousin Brooklyn’s wedding. She booked me shortly after Brooke & Zach’s wedding, and I already knew it was going to be a day filled with tears and family and crazy awesome friends. However, what I didn’t expect was one of the most incredible gowns I’ve ever shot. Yes, ever. And that’s a lot of gowns in 11 years of shooting weddings. But this one was meant for Hannah. Once I managed to pick my jaw up off the floor, we headed out for their first look and portraits at the Henry Ford mansion along with the video team. We loved being there for the first time Cam saw Hannah in all her beauty, choosing back tears and with that look like he had just won the wife lottery. Well, he did. Because Hannah was stunnnnnnning. But even moreso, these two are in love. And it was clear during our time together that this day was truly something they had been dreaming of since they first met.
After portraits (and nearly melting that day), we went back to The Dearborn Inn for bridal party and for their ceremony, which was held in the side courtyard. I’ve shot many weddings at The Dearborn Inn over the years, but had non idea how beautiful that courtyard would be at that time of day! The sun was setting just beyond the building, and we even had a light breeze roll through as if on cue for their vows. Once we had wrapped up our vows, Hannah & Cameron joined their family & friends for a night of toasts, dinner and dancing. Here’s a peek at Hannah & Cam’s incredible wedding day.

I also brought along my new and beloved Hasselblad H1 to shoot for this one. It was the perfect setting to shoot a few rolls of medium format film. There is something about film that feels right. It feels old, and it feels real. When I hold the prints in my hand and look through the lens it takes me back to a place and time that just feels right. I’ve been shooting more and more film these days. Film makes me think about what I’m creating. It helps me put everything I’ve ever learned about light to the test. I can honestly say, it makes me a better photographer. It helps me connect with myself and with my vision in a truly authentic way. Thank you to my patient clients who have given me the space and freedom to explore.
These were shot with a mix of Portra 400 & Fuji Pro 400H // Developed & Scanned by FIND Lab
