Taking myself back to Darsh & Celeste’s incredible Mill Creek Wilde wedding this past fall brings me back to a day filled with colors, family & culture. It was simply incredible. And I have to be honest in our early conversations, it was the fist time I had actually heard the term “fusion wedding”. And it was a perfect way to describe their vision and their day.
Hang on with me here, this post is a little longer yet full of beautiful images, as we wove our way through both pf their families’ traditions. Some of the sweetest moments came when Darsh and Celeste had their first look both in American & Indian attire. His joy and surprise to see her for the first time took his breath away. They had a few moments admiring each other and even searching for hidden symbols in the Henna that adorned her hands and wrists. Portraits were done with both sides of the family in both attire, and their ceremony was full of incredible Hindu & Christian tradition, prayers and the most beautiful celebrations of life! I feel so honored to have been there to capture and tell this story of two families, some of them crossing oceans to be there and be witness to it all.
Mill Creek Wilde is a beautiful and quaint barn venue located in West Michigan, close to Kalamazoo. It has a rustic feel, that looked simply incredible infused with pops of color and eclectic details. Family & friends danced well into the night celebrating these two.
