And just like that … poof. Summer has come and gone. It’s crazy how that happens every single year. Summer leaves, and all I’m left with are these beautiful weddings to remember the season by (insert sarcasm). This summer was full of them, just like Bobbie & Steve who got married at The Grecian Center Downriver. Yes in typical Michigan fashion, we woke up to an angry sky and a 50% chance of storms all day. But it made for some beautiful light and our ceremony location was covered.
Bobbie is an aspiring photographer herself, so it’s been wonderful working with her & Steve for both their engagement shoot and for their big day. It was also wonderful to be working Downriver again and run into old friends and clients. It truly is a small world. We met everyone at The Grecian Center for portraits with Bobbie & her maids, Steve and his men before a record breaking (short) ceremony under the gazebo in the gardens. I’ve always loved shooting at this location, it has some hidden spots off the beaten path that makes for some really killer light and intimate portraits. Add in a 15 mph wind gust and voila!
