I’m so excited to blog this beauty of a wedding.  Vance & Elizabeth’s Weller’s Carriage House Wedding was so beautiful in every way.  They were referred to me through another friend, and just a few weeks after I booked them, I got a call that they were expecting twins.  Yes, you read that right, twins. I remember the phone call distinctly, as Elizabeth was deciding on whether or not they would have to move their date.  But after helping her through the logistics and timeline, she exclaimed “Let’s do it!”.  I reassured her we would make sure everyone had what they needed to pull this wedding off and that it was going to be an incredible day for their family.  Sure enough, it was.

I arrived that the Weller’s Cottage as Elizabeth was getting ready with their daughter and her maids.  Mind you, we had not met before her wedding day and let me say my jaw dropped when I saw how beautiful she & her details were.  Here she was this gorgeous woman who had given birth to twins just a few months shy of her wedding day, and she was still glowing from it all. She was cool as a cucumber and surrounded by her bridesmaids who were equally stunning in the most beautiful pale shade of lilac.

Mind you, this was an October wedding, and sure enough Michigan had a few tricks up her sleeve in store for these two. Thankfully, we had planned the day around the kids’ schedules and decided on a first look with Vance at Weller’s Carriage House so that we could focus on family & friends after the ceremony.  Within 10 mins of their exchange of vows, the hot & humid sky decided to open up and release buckets (upon buckets) of rain in an absolute downpour. We were trapped at one point under the canopy of the pergola during bridal party photos along with many of the guests before we decided to  make a run for it despite the pooling water and thunder. It was a memorable (and soaking wet) day for all to remember!

Following dinner, we joined them for a packed dance floor while they danced long into the hot night to Killer Flamingoes and the closest family & friends. Here’s a peek at Elizabeth & Vance’s Weller’s Carriage House Wedding
