A West Michigan Wedding
This summer also took me over to a West Michigan wedding for a gorgeous little ceremony in the middle of the woods to shoot a bride who is dear to my heart. I’ve known Tia since she was much younger, and she is family. I shot her senior pictures many years back and a few portfolio shots for her in her career as a model. But I was lucky enough to have just one Saturday open this August shortly after she got engaged. And lucky for me, I was able to bring my little family with me as we settled into a cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan the weekend of her wedding. Tia brought me in for the best parts of her day, as she got dressed and got ready to marry her love, Cameron. She was breathtaking, was she was walked down the aisle by both her dad and her step dad and was married by her soon to be father in law. What an incredibly special day for these two and their families.
This little chapel in the pines for this West Michigan wedding at Fruitland Covenant Church was awe inspiring. To say it was beautiful would be an understatement and I honestly could have spent hours upon hours there shooting. But I stayed long enough to shoot the wedding and portraits of the two of them and their bridal party before popping into say hi to my family then hopping on the road headed for home. Honestly, aside from writing what a sweet day it was doesn’t explain it quite right. It was perfect in every way, and I certainly hope that my journey takes me there again. I’ll let the images tell the story of their day. Here’s a peek.
