I’m officially back to work after a really great 10 day hiatus with my little family to the Palm Coast in Florida. And boy, it felt great to get away after a cold, long and gray winter. We decided this time to forgo the fancy hotel and rent a house on the beach instead. This was the best decision for us, and we immediately made ourselves comfortable, opened up the shutters and let the beautiful ocean breeze intoxicate us. Our beach house was steps from the Atlantic Ocean, and about and hours drive to the House of Mouse (aka Disney World). We took our time exploring a few neighboring cities, we swam in the waves, and hit the local farmers markets for fresh citrus and produce. It was a perfect getaway. Here’s a peek at our adventure.
Photographers: It’s always tough to choose a few pieces of gear to bring with you on your vacation. But in the end, I knew I wanted to shoot long with my 85 mm 1.2 because we had access to the pier and my 35mm 1.4 is always my go to with my kids. All were shot with my 5d Mkii. I ended up bringing my Canon Digital Elph to Disney World for the day because of it’s size and easier to carry around with two little ones.
