Small Business Saturday

As the proud owner of a small business, I encourage you to ditch the long lines and mayhem at the big box stores, chains and retailers and do a little something that gives back to your community.  Shop local, shop small businesses.   Run by neighbors, friends and people you see around town, small businesses fill our days with the things we need and help our communities thriving.  And not just in our community, but communities in every neighborhood.

And why not support your local small businesses not only today, but all year round?  Think about it.  Do you know where those mittens you just bought for a friend were made?  Or even what they’re made out of?  How about that set of coffee mugs?  That frame for one of their favorite pictures?  I could go on and on.  I am making a commitment this year to buy, eat and shop local during the holidays.  Not only does it help my community and fellow business owners, but it just feels good.

I’ve listed a few of my favorite small businesses, to the right under “Raves + Favs”.  Feel free to take a minute and check out what they have to offer.

No, I’m not running any crazy specials, deep discounts or door buster deals.  I’m simply asking you to keep me in mind when you are looking for a gift to give someone this holiday or later in the year. A few different ways you can support Mishelle Lamarand Photography are:

• Purchasing a Git Certificate in any denomination for a family member, friend, or couple who’s already booked their wedding with me.  They can use it towards purchasing prints, products or albums from their wedding day.  They can also use it toward a shoot and for products once they’re booked.  Although I don’t shoot newborns, I do shoot kids, weddings, seniors and boudoir.
• I also offer a Gift Registry of my services for brides.
• Has a family member shared their gallery with you?  Well, why not order them a beautiful print for a gift?  You can do so right within their gallery, to the right.  Your order comes straight to me, and I will package it up all nice and pretty and make sure it arrives to them.
• And lastly, I teach workshops!  What a great gift to give that person on your list who has just received a new camera/SLR.  More information can be found by following this link.
