Grace.
A word that you’ve seen a few times here lately on my blog. This word is close to me these days, and a word so simple could only exude so much meaning for me. My own definition is personal and close to my heart. Much like my work. Grace, grace, grace. This word kept going through my mind this past fall as I shot an incredible senior, Sarah. Our time together was simply magical and almost in a dreamlike, fairytale kind of way. And she moved with more grace that I have ever seen a human being move in front of my camera. Every moment was filled with an inner light and effortless movement, she was simply a joy to work with and to shoot. We had planned our shoot out with simple intentions. Her smile, a sunhat, her pointe shoes and a tutu. Some of my favorite locations. But what unfolded that day was a senior shoot that I’ll not soon forget. It’s hard to describe in writing how sweet her soul is, but my hope is that you can see a glimpse of it through my lens.
I knew instantly that I had to get her in front of my camera again, but in a limitless way. The ideas are still unfolding, but I’m so excited to collaborate with her again this spring for another shoot. Stay tuned … but for now, here’s a peek at Sarah’s senior shoot. Enjoy!
