As I sit here on this snowy day, I look out the window in my home office and dream of warmer days. Days filled with warm sunshine, and pops of lush greenery and flowers like Karley & Paul’s Planterra Conservatory wedding just a few short months ago. It’s funny because between the three of us, we got to experience all four seasons together starting with their frozen (literally freezing rain and a sheet of ice covering the ground) engagement shoot to their mildly temped wedding day with warm sunshine and a few patches of snow on the ground. As we stepped inside Planterra Conservatory for their first look, ceremony & reception, we were transported into a scene full of life with living plants, swimming koi and some fo the most beautiful flowers at every turn. It was a truly magical day for these two, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
Karley & Paul … you already know I how much I adore you both. I feel so lucky to have been there for you on your wedding day and to share your story. Your energy is real and certainly contagious, and I am just so happy to call you clients & friends. xoxo, Mishelle

What did it feel like the first time you saw each other on your wedding day?
It honestly felt calming. The entire morning and afternoon was filled with such excitement and anticipation it was almost over whelming. So when we finally got to see each other it brought a sense of peace to us both. It was emotional and filled with love, but also just very relieving to be next to each other before the beautiful chaos of the night began.
What was your most memorable moment that day?
The most memorable moment for us both was the ceremony. We did not anticipate how stunning and magical the ceremony would actually be. Not to mention how emotional it is to be in a room filled with all of the people you love most.
What was the biggest challenge in planning your wedding?
Our biggest challenge was really deciding what was important to us while still listening and taking into consideration the needs and opinions of our friends and family.
What was your best source for finding vendors that you wanted to work with?
We did find a few of our vendors on Wedding Wire, but for the most part we took the advice and recommendations from the vendors we trusted. We chose many of our vendors from our venues recommended list and we also inquired with our beautiful photographer to see who she would trust with certain things as well. It is nice to work with vendors who are trusted in the professional community.
Any advice to newly engaged couples?
Our advice would be to really appreciate the planning process. Find joy in the process. It goes by so so fast and it really should be a happy time to look back on.
Did you Honeymoon? If so, where?
We have not gone on our Honeymoon. The plan is Hawaii summer 2020.
What is your next big adventure as a married couple?
Well the Honeymoon of course! We are really excited for that. We are also planning on buying a new home relatively soon.
