I’m so excited to be able to share a small handful of images from Nan & Joe’s wedding last night at The Westin Book Cadillac. Working with Nan & Joe has been such a memorable and enjoyable experience. A big thank you to Jen House & her incredible team from A Moment in Time Wedding & Event Production for not only working so hard to make sure that this day was perfect in every way, but also a big thank you for sending me these two. I look forward to sharing a full list of vendors for this one in the coming weeks.
From the moment I sat down with Nan for dinner earlier this spring, I knew she had a very clear vision on what she wanted her wedding day to look like and had planned every last little detail with thought and precision. I loved working with her and meeting Joe along the way and I feel pretty lucky that I was chosen to capture this most important day for them.
I shot yesterday along with help from Dave & Candice of Lamarand Style and my dear friend Meg of Meg Darket Photography and together we were able to capture some truly timeless images. Candice & I focused primarily on Nan, Joe & their families while Dave & Meg worked diligently to capture every single detail as well as lighting one of the 5 rooms that were used throughout the hotel. Yes, Nan & Joe filled every room including The Italian Garden, The Crystal, Venetian & Woodward ballrooms with their family and friends for a gorgeous champagne welcome, ceremony, raw bar, 7 course dinner, and dancing in The Woodward to none other than the Jerry Ross Band. Trust me this was one fun group and everyone had their turn on the dance floor dancing to some of Motown’s greatest hits.
I also have to take a moment and send a special thanks to Barb, Jim, Emmie, Kelly, Katie & JP. It was a pleasure spending the day with all of you and you did an amazing job helping with Nan & Joe’s big day. They are truly blessed to have friends and family such as yourselves. Oh, and just for good measure … Table 5 was my favorite (wink wink).
So onto a few of my images that caught my eye as I began to pour through them early this morning. Many more to come and I look forward to sharing all of the details and moments their day.
