Matt & Ashleigh’s Ann Arbor Wedding came just as the flowers started to bloom, which I thought was a beautiful synchronicity and a perfect match for Ashleigh’s energy. I loved getting to know her in our calls before her wedding day, hearing all about her story of becoming a mother, and marrying the boy she met when she was in High School.
And although life took them in other directions, they were always meant to be together in this way and it became even more clear on their wedding day. If you spend just 5 mixtures with Ashleigh & Matt, you soon realize that he is her rock. They very much complete each other as he is a bit more quiet and has a silent strong presence about him while she is more of a free spirit, pays close attention to the little details and has a fiery and beautiful energy about her.
They were married in Downtown Ann Arbor, and it was a beautiful historic church. Her brother walked her down the aisle, and Ashleigh surprised Matt with a bag piper as her wedding gift to him. There was barely a dry eye in the house. It was a beautiful ceremony and the chapel was filled with all the people in their lives who have shown the greatest support and love for this couple and their young family. Their reception followed at Zingerman’s Greyline as they danced the night away complete with a choreographed dance as a tribute to their father.
What an amazing day these two had. Here’s another look at Ashleigh & Matthew’s Ann Arbor wedding.
