I have all kinds of favorite light. The kind that starts off your day and infuses the sky with hues of pink and orange, the kind that warms your cheeks through the sunroof as you’re running errands on a busy day, and then my favorite … fall light. There is something about fall light that’s even hard to put into words. But I’ll give it my best shot. Fall light is crisp, it’s cool. It comes out of the sky on a perfectly warm night at the end of October and it just brushes the top of the trees with it’s rays. It does’t hang out directly over head, but instead it peeks over the buildings. Fall light is the kind of light that send you running for the nearest camera just to capture it.
And that was the kind of light we had last weekend for their shoot. And I just happen to have my favorite came in my hand, and two people in love right in front of me. Sheila flew in for a few days from L.A. to tie up a few details for their wedding next year at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and to spend some much needed time with her love, Chris. It was a perfect night. Here’s a peek.
