I can always tell when my clients are nervous for their first time shooting with me. They’re a little unsure of what to wear, what to do … And so was Sarah when we first met for her engagement shoot with her love, Brent. But her guard came down moments after I picked up my camera and started shooting. There she was … standing next to Brent & in his arms. He looked at her, she looked at him and … poof … all the cares of the day evaporated. I love it when that happens. When couples get a chance to disconnect from their daily busy lives and reconnect right in front of me. It makes for natural shooting, and some of my favorite images. We spent a few hours hitting some of my favorite spots in Detroit for their Love Shoot. Down by the River, the Book Cadillac and really took in the sights, sounds and lights of the city. The sun was showing off that night for us too darting in and behind some of the glorious buildings. I loved shooting the two of them and cannot wait for their wedding this summer. Here’s a peek.
