I’ve been sitting on Katie & Paul’s Twin Cities Wedding blog post for about a week now. Because it is one that means a lot to me, and finding the right words is also important to my heart. I met Katie last summer when I shot her brother Patrick’s wedding here in Detroit. Yeah, that one was another one that left a perma smile in my memory. Katie & Paul brought me out to The Twin Cities for their engagement shoot this past spring and it was a trip that felt like I was visiting family. Though Katie grew up with her family in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I got to spend some time in a city that her & Paul now call home. They were just the most gracious and wonderful hosts and I learned a lot about the area in just my short time there.
Fast forward to July, when my favorite sidekick Meg hopped on a plane and joined me for their big day. We settled in the night before and woke up to one of the most perfect summer days in Lakeville. Katie & Paul were married at the beautiful Brackett’s Crossing Country Club. Katie & Paul were both surrounded by their closest family & friends and I have to say she was just glowing with excitement at the thought of marrying Paul. They were married in the garden in the sweetest ceremony and followed up with dinner & dancing in the club. We loved watching their families come together and celebrate one another with heartfelt stores and words. Meg & I felt like we were a part of their family (again) and welcomed with open arms. We even snuck away with them for a few hours during sunset and their first quite moments as husband and wife. Here’s a peek at Katie & Paul’s Twin Cities wedding.
