Alas, another senior season is just right around the corner. And with that I always have a few seniors who are wrapping up their shoots as they approach an exciting time in their lives … graduation! Just like Katie, who’s senior shoot had to be postponed until this spring due to knee surgery and well, life. But I’m so glad we waited, because we had just the most perfect day, the sun was shining and there was a light breeze. I had just come off a vacation in California, and this beauty reminded me so much of a California girl with her glowing smile and blonde locks.
I just love everything about shooting seniors. I know, I know. You’re so tired of hearing about it. But they just get my heart going in ways that defy explanation. When I’m shooting a senior girl or guy, I know in that moment that is exactly where I want to be and what I love to shoot from behind my camera. And let me tell you, as a photographer … there’s no feeling that compares to how good that feels.
