Oh you guys, I loved so many things about Ron & Racquel’s wedding day. I’m so excited to able to finally share it with you here. Yes … the details were pretty, they booked an incredible venue, Racquel was stunning in both of her dresses. But you know what I loved most about their wedding day? Them. The two of them together have this glowing and magnetic like attraction to each other and it made for a really incredible day of shooting it all. I met these two last fall, and we got to know each other over coffee after a late night shoot. I knew they were pretty cool people then, but I just had no idea really how awesome they were. From the moment that my second shooter Hugh and I showed up, Racquel was a beautiful ball of energy. Cool, yet collected and just bursting at the seams to marry her love, Ron.
These two tied the knot at one of my all time favorite venues in Detroit, The Ford Piquette Plant. Otherwise known as the birthplace of the Model T. It is rustic, has secret rooms where Henry Ford himself drew out plans to invent an automobile and everything about it is amazing. But add two people who are crazy in love, some pretty details and their family & friends and it was simply a wedding that I’ll never forget.
Just before Hugh & I were heading out, Racquel changed into a perfect lace gown as a surprise to Ron. She was a little nervous, but the minute he laid eyes on her, he drank her in and I know in that moment he felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
Ron & Racquel … I’ve loved every single minute working with the two of you. Your love really is something to behold. I could have captured your wedding in so many great and amazing places, but at the end of the day, all I really needed was the two of you and the reminder what a lucky photographer I am to have been chosen by the two of you. Just so many tender moments throughout your day, I am honored to have been there to capture it all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
