Some weddings simply take my breath away. Around every corner is something more beautiful than the last. Whether it be the flowers, her dress, his bout, her shoes, the light, the laughter. All of it. Their love, family & friends were simply icing on the cake (pun intended). I love it when that happens. This was one of those weddings. Kristin & Henry came to me through NYC wedding planner Erin Braun of Erin Braun Design, and their wedding was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever had the honor of capturing. And the best part is that it took place only a few miles from my home here in Dexter, Michigan at the beautiful Frutig Misty Farms, The Valley.
They had perfect weather, guests from all over the globe, and an incredible setting for their nuptials. The flowers were designed by Ann Arbor’s incredibly talented floral designer, Susan of Passionflower. And they were amazing, ethereal and just beautiful. I love working with talented hands. It really adds to the overall fee and look of the day, pulling all the pretty details together.
Kristin & Henry were married under the oak tree at the back of the property and it was so great to see their family & friends celebrating along with them as they sealed their vows with glasses of wine & a kiss. Their laid back timeline allowed them to join their guests for cocktail hour where Kristin, a former Broadway singer serenaded her new husband. It was a day to remember for all. Here’s more from their gorgeous wedding day at The Valley.
