As I head into yet another hopeful & inspiring wedding season, I’m reminded (yet again) that simplicity is king. And that classic will never, ever go out of style. And that beauty is not complicated, and love is pure. I know you’ve heard me say it over and over and over and over. But it’s true. I live it and feel it in my own life and I see it often as a wedding photographer. This is exactly what was going through my mind as I was shooting Elise & Brian’s gorgeous wedding day in Ann Arbor. This was my first time meeting these two, and the thing that struck me the moment I walked into Elise’s suite was that she was a true & classic beauty. The colors that she chose were the perfect shade of grey, and when I meant Brian he was the quintessential groom along with his men. These two have been together for nearly 10 years and to see them finally meet at the alter was pretty amazing.
This stunner of a wedding was the vision of my dear friend and talented creative Jen of Jen House Designs & A Moment in Time and captured through the vision of Zara Creative. Talk about a great day of shooting! Both Jen & Zara Creative come highly recommended to all of my wedding clients, and I’m always honored when they send clients my way. Together with her team, they pulled off a perfectly classic wedding complete with some of the most gorgeous blooms and reception details at one of my favorite Ann Arbor venues, Earhart Manor at Concordia College.
