This fall for me has been overflowing with some pretty incredible weddings. All of them full of all the important elements that make a wedding day what a wedding day should be. Full of love, first and foremost. Surrounded by family and friends, secondly. A unique location, hand crafted details and dancing until the wee hours are pretty swell, too. And those are the ingredients that made Lindsay’s marriage to her love, Clayton become a reality earlier last month. Lindsay is just stunning on her own, and her dress left me breathless. Such a perfect blend of sophistication and beauty. Her details were handcrafted by her friend, Olivia Nelson out of LA along with timeless florals by her friend, Lily Kittle. I was so thrilled to once again work alongside my dear friend and very talented makeup artist, Jill Sollars. As well as get a helping hand from my fellow talented photographer, Meg Darket.
These two were married in the middle of the Ann Arbor Botanical Gardens amongst the pretty blooms and buzzing bees. Yes, I found out just hours before that Clayton and his sister were highly allergic to bees. But nonetheless, we made it though their ceremony and headed about the grounds to some of my favorite spots for a bit of shooting along with their wedding party. Although it was September, it sure felt more like July as the temps flirted with the low 90’s. But we captured some beautiful images in the tall pines and even had a bit of time to shoot back at The Inn at St. John’s before their party really got started. It was a great time for everyone involved and I know these two are excited to start their new adventure together as husband and wife. Here’s a peek at their day.
