There comes a point in your career as a wedding photographer that you feel like you’ve shot pretty much every type of wedding there is. Until you shoot one like Chris & Sheila’s. Sheila is Persian, and in the Persian culture all the emphasis is placed on all things beautiful, sweet & pure. The wedding ceremony is just that, a ceremony in which the women are placed at the center of attention and then, in turn shower the new bride with gifts, blessings and even sugar. Shooting Sheila & Chris’ wedding was certainly a treat of the sweetest kind. Our day started at The Westin Book Cadillac and took us through parts of Detroit and right up the river to The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. The entire day was planned meticulously by Sheila’s mom, Aunt & the wonderful staff at the GPYC. Jennie Weigand of Beautiful Day Planning was on hand to make sure the day went smoothly. Chris & Sheila are pretty sweet themselves. I loved spending time with them last fall at Cranbrook for their sunset Love Shoot, and loved seeing them both celebrating their wedding day with family and friends from all over the globe.
I have to take a minute and thank the whole team for an incredible day. Both of my shooters, Lia & Morgan for not missing a beat and making the day run smoothly. And of course to Heather, Justin, Eric & the team from Zara Creative. Truly one of the best videography teams around. Ok, enough from me, onto some beautiful images. Enjoy!
