Mallory & John had envisioned a Downtown Northville wedding since the moment their feet hit the ground planning their spring wedding. They had little to no idea that it would in fact be the perfect day and would be timed effortlessly with flowering trees and beautiful blooms. And as much as you’d think beautiful scenery would be the icing on the cake for their wedding day, it wasn’t. It got even better, as they trusted their vision and hired one of the best, Jen House Design & the incredible team of A Moment in Time. I absolutely loved the simplicity & elegance of the black and white palate mixed in with natural greens. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – timeless & classic is my jam. Imagery that speaks to the moments of their day on a backdrop of classic colors and beautiful blooms. Yes, I’ll take it time and time again!
My second shooter, Meg Darket & I had one of those days that just didn’t feel like work. Beautiful details at every turn, two people deeply in love, and some of the kindest human beings to work with on their day felt like a breeze. The wedding party met in the morning and got ready at The Henry in Dearborn before heading to downtown Northville at Our Lady of Victory. We wrapped up portraits and headed over for dinner, cocktails and dancing at The Dearborn Country Club. It’s been some time since I’ve shot a reception there, and I forgot how beautiful it is. But add in hundreds of white florals, and fill it with people to celebrate into the night and it is sheer perfection. Here’s a look into Mallory & John’s downtown Northville wedding.
