Whew, I’m back! I mean, I’ve been back from vacation for a few weeks now and have been settling into this beautiful weather we’ve had this spring. Which reminds me, last month I was headed up to Cadillac for a Northern Michigan Engagement shoot with Jen & Dan at their families beautiful log home in the woods. They welcomed Hannah & I like family, we sat around the fire and shared glasses of wine. It truly was one of the best ways to get to know these two a little more before our shoot the following morning. Naturally, for March in Michigan we woke up to this fine layer of mist & ice. Yep! So we decided to hold off shooting for a few hours and the fog gave way to the prettiest spring day. Just cold enough to leave patches of snow on the ground, yet warm enough to let the sun hit your face and remind you a new season is just around the corner. We strolled over their acreage, and they found us some pretty amazing spots to shoot at before we arrived.
I can’t wait to be there when these two tie the knot this fall at The Westin Book Cadillac. And I love even more that Jen was a bridesmaid in the winter wedding I shot back in January, and I may see some of the same beautiful faces on their wedding day! But until then, here’s a peek at our time together in Cadillac for their Northern Michigan Engagement.
