Let’s face it, we live in a digital world.  And we have everything we want basically at our fingertips.  It’s quite amazing when you start to think of it. I can snap a pic of my kids and share it instantly with the world and family members half way around the globe.  Smart phones, social media & technology have drastically changed the scope of what we do as professional photographers over the past 5 years.   And it’s made things for small business owners & photographers interesting to say the least.  I often feel like a rubber band as I stretch and retract in an effort to keep up with the digital vs. tangible take on what I do and the service I provide.  I’ve always made digital files/digital negatives at least accessible to my clients after their shoot.  They are included with all weddings along with a Print Credit to spend towards beautiful products & prints.  I do this to encourage people to not just let their images sit on a USB in a drawer next to the mail drawer in the kitchen.  And all of my senior & kids shoots also include at least 1 digital file and/or Print Credit to use to also encourage you to show off your gorgeous images.  The hardest part should be choosing which ones to print. Trust me, I’ve been there and as much as I love decorating my house it’s still overwhelming!  But it’s so important to archive your shoots in real, live photographs.  Not just on your phone.  Here’s a post from last year to see how I’ve done this around my own home with some of my favorite images.

As long as I’ve been taking pretty pictures for a living, I’ve always made getting your images on your wall easy & creative.  And I’m excited to roll out my new “Home is Where the Art is” Inspire Guide to get you started.  It’s just a fresh new look to the same Inspire Guide that I’ve used for the past few years.  Isn’t it pretty?  All of my clients will receive both a hard copy with a few of my favorite arrangements, and a digital copy with 50+ different rooms & arrangements to really get the ideas started!STYLE_30And to celebrate this, I’m offering 20% off all Prints & Products (excludes albums) through September 1st! Simply use the code INSPIREME at checkout from your wedding or portrait gallery and the 20% will be applied to your total.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.  Have fun, and I hope you’re feeling inspired today! photo
