As I sat here trying to think of a title of this next post, the only thing I could think about was how much I miss shooting families. And don’t get me wrong. I love a beautiful bride, dapper groom or peppy senior as much as the next person, but I love shooting families, too. Why? Because of all the hugging, silly. I forget how much hugging goes on in these types of sessions. And I find myself giggling and oozing with happiness each time behind the lens as I shoot. I’ve shot a handful of families this season and are looking to a handful more yet to come this fall. I don’t normally post families that I shoot here on my blog, but just had to share this one.
I’ve known these guys for a long time now, about 10 years or so, and have loved watching Kari and Carl’s family grow. I met Kari through one of my best friend’s Sara and we’ve been talking about doing a family shoot with them for a few years now. Carl is an amazingly talented tattoo artist, so we made a little exchange and he’ll be doing my next (and possibly my last) tattoo soon. So I’m thrilled that we finally made their family shoot happen! Their two little ones, Gavin and Carli are adorable, witty and reminded me how great it can be to shoot little kids. I loved our time together, here’s a little peek.
