Nina came to me when she was just 16 for her senior pictures. She was one of the first seniors I shot early in my career. From there, she referred me to her beautiful angel sister Francesca, and from that moment on we were forever connected in ways that we will learn and come to cherish many years down the road. She is the baby of three beautiful sisters, each of which I was their wedding photographer. Last year, I captured her oldest sister Kristina’s wedding. Honestly, this is one of the biggest compliments … to shoot not one, not two but all 3 beautiful women in one family. And now it’s Nina’s turn.
Love & loss can transform a relationship. When you find the right person who sees your heartbreak and loves you harder for those beautiful faults, then you know. You just know. This was the case when Nina met Garrett just a mere 6 months after Francesca passed. He took her in, loved her and they formed a bond that would later translate into a new life together. You can feel this bond whenever you’re around the two of them. They are quite literally perfect for each other. His gentle manner as he watches her walk by, the way he sees her struggling out of the corner of his eye and immediately swoops in to help. It’s beautiful. Nina wanted a natural environment for their shoot, she wanted open fields, sunshine and all the makings of fall. Lo and behold, we got nearly perfect temps and weather and headed to one of my favorite spots to spend an hour together.
Nina & Garrett … you and your families are so special to me for so many reasons. You are the baby Vitale, and the last beautiful girls of three girls that I get to watch and photograph walking down the aisle. What an awesome experience for me to capture these pivotal points in your lives. I’m honored, truly. To tell your story and to help you show the world how much you’re loved. xo, Mishelle
