A few words come to mind as I’m getting ready to blog one of my favorite weddings of the year. Simple … timeless … beautiful. I met Krysta last fall at a coffee shop in Downtown Plymouth when I was toward the end of my pregnancy with Nash and I literally wobbled in through the front door. I thought to myself, she would be crazy to hire me. I was huffing and puffing and almost certainly wearing my comfy sweater boots and favorite leggings. But here we were sipping on cups of warm cappucino talking about all the details of her wedding day, how she met Zach and their plans for the future. I almost felt like we were old friends reunited after a long hiatus. I knew back then that Krysta’s vision for her wedding day was built around the idea that time will stand still, and all of the classic elements would come together to create just that feel and a sense of warmth between their families. With a first look at The Westin Book Cadillac, shots at Eastern Market and a perfect ceremony and reception at The Rattlesnake Club, their wedding was exactly that. Here’a peek at their amazing Motown wedding in Downtown Detroit.
A big shout out, and big hug to my creative and hard working second shooter that day, Rachel of Rachel Smaller Photography. Much love my friend xoxox
