I thought it the perfect time to dust off the ‘ol blog for the first time since the summer months. It feels amazing to have incredible couples along with their stories to document. If 2020 has been anything, it’s been the year to tell stories of the current times and these couples who have overcome all the obstacles to still find reasons to celebrate each other.
Mirza & Emra had originally planned for a large & festive wedding day along with 200 of their guests on August 8th. We had a beautiful engagement shoot last fall, but clearly, the Universe had other plans for their wedding day. We had several calls leading up to this day to plan forward and walk this Detroit Elopement & postponement plan together. On their original wedding date, instead of crying on the couch and eating barrels of ice cream they instead decided to celebrate the day by purchasing their wedding bands and having them engraved.
Ever thine, ever mine, ever yours.
But on the 5th anniversary of the day they met, they go dressed up and exchanged vows in the living room of their own home before meeting family for dinner & cocktails at the incredible Besa in Downtown Detroit. It was a joyous day for these two and their families, and looking back on their original wedding plans, we knew today was always meant to be.
To Emra & Mirza … I adore you both, congratulations. You have been incredible to work with every step of the way, and I am eternally grateful for your patience, loyalty and love forever & ever. Thank you for letting me tell your story. xoxo, Mishelle
