A Planterra Conservatory Wedding
I am so excited to finally share images from Corbett & Katarina’s Planterra Conservatory Wedding here on this Christmas Eve. Working with Kacha & Corbett on their amazing wedding day was nearly a dream. These two brought me out to Philly, where they live for their engagement shoot in some of their favorite parts of town. And even that was filled with magic! Kasha & Corbett have this warm sensibility that makes you instantly feel like you’re a part of the family. And after you see some of the images from their wedding day at Planterra Conservatory, you’re going to wish you were part of their family too. From the moment their day started with a live Gypsy brass band that met us at the hotel for the traditional Kolo dancing and passing around of the buklija (flask) and passing out shots of rakija for all to enjoy. Trust me, the dancing got faster and more lively as that buklija was passed around. The Kolo & dancing went on all throughout the day, following the ceremony & well into the wee hours of their reception.
This incredible Serbian wedding was laced with all the makings of an incredible celebration. Kacha & Corbett were married in an Orthodox church just on the outskirts of Detroit, and hosted their guests for cocktails & dinner at Planterra Conservatory in West Bloomfiled. Kacha & Corbett had guests traveling all around the world to celebrate with them, and they were able to mingle for cocktail hour.
In traditional Serbian fashion, their day was full of bright shades of red. The event was designed by the talented florist at Planterra, and was dripping with hints of gold, green & red. Sweets by the incredible Sweet Heather Anne was simply icing on the cake. A big thank you to my assistant extraordinaire, Brandon & the fun team of Killer Creations who we worked along side with for most of the day. As a Preferred Vendor for Planterra, I am always thankful to work with such a talented & professional team of creatives. And most thankful to have clients Like Katarina & Corbett. Bringing the vision of their wedding day to life was an incredible experience.
Here’s to a very Merry Christmas Eve, Happy Hannukah & a safe & happy holiday to all of my wonderful clients & friends. And cestitam to Kacha & Corbett!
I look forward to heading into the new year with a heart full of gratitude.
