Austin & Cheyanne had such a beautiful Downtown Toledo wedding earlier this summer. Aside from all the beautiful details and practically flawless bride and groom, their friends and family were a hoot (yes, hoot!) to work with. A day full of fun, sweet moment sand even a few surprises. I have loved so many moments having Cheyanne & Austin in front of my camera for both their Detroit Engagement Shoot and now for their wedding day. Can’t we do this all over again, please? It was surely one to remember.
A few thoughts from Austin & Cheyanne:
Did you do a first look?
No, we went with the more traditional option and saw each other for the first time at the altar.
What did it feel like the first time you saw eachother on your wedding day?
Austin: the first time I saw cheyanne walking down the aisle it reminded me off the first time I saw her when I was 17. She was glowing. I was so excited and overjoyed for her to become my wife.
Cheyanne: The very first moment I saw Austin it was a bit blurry because my eyes were filled with tears (happy tears of course)! But when the church doors opened and I saw Austin at the altar it was as if time stood still and a feeling of peace came over me and all was perfect in the world because in that moment it finally sank in that this man is going to be my husband!!
What was your most memorable moment that day?
Austin: watching cheyanne walk down the aisle.
Cheyanne: Honestly the most memorable moment of the day was exchanging our vows! I wasn’t expecting that moment to feel as powerful as it did and even though we said traditional vows each word spoken had so much meaning and importance to them and it was a blessing to have all our family and friends there to witness our promises to one another!
What was the biggest challenge in planning your wedding?
Cheyanne: I think the biggest challenge was not letting all the small details overwhelm us, and not letting the stress of planning take over our lives. There were a couple of times throughout the planning process where we kinda just had to reset, take a break from planning and just go on a date and have fun and remember why we were doing all of this which was to become husband and wife!!
What was your best source for finding vendors that you wanted to work with?
Cheyanne: I used the knot app a lot to search for different vendors in the area and read reviews and it was helpful that through the app you could connect with vendors directly. Also Bee for the Day were total life savers for finding vendors to meet all our needs for the big day!
Any advice to newly engaged couples?
Austin: Enjoy every second with your fiancé and have fun when planning.
Cheyanne: Make sure to take time to still date one another and enjoy this phase of your relationship. Keep in mind what is important to you as a couple and remember that it’s your day so if your happy with what your choosing to have your day be like that’s all that matters. And when the big day does finally come just ENJOY IT because it goes by so FAST!!!
Did you Honeymoon? If so, where?
Yes. Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia!
What is your next big adventure as a married couple?
Cheyanne: No big plans yet! We are just embracing and enjoying this new chapter of our lives together and just going where any adventure may takes us!!
We had an incredible team of vendors for Cheyanne & Austin’s Downtown Toledo Wedding. Just incredible. They brought so much energy and creativity to an already amazing couple. Thank you to each & every one of you!
