A few times a year, I have the pleasure of shooting at one of my favorite wedding locations Zingerman’s Cornman Farms located right here in Dexter. This place is dear to me for so many reasons. Not only for it’s incredible location, staff and eats but also because it’s where I was also married last summer in a Cornman Farms wedding. So let me just say when I’m commissioned to shoot there for these beautiful and intimate weddings I already know that it’s going to be a special day. And this was exactly what unfolded for Mallory & Andrew’s intimate wedding on the farm. This adorable (now) husband & wife team of photographers reached out to me last year to see if I was available for their date at the farm. We met this past spring to dream of details of their day and together put a plan to have her Mallory’s horse, Bling along for portraits and make sure she was dressed in her finest. In typical Michigan fashion, the weather threatened a cold snap and a bit of rain, yet held out until we were wrapped up with Bling and brought Mallory & Andrew’s vision to life.
It was so exciting for everyone involved in this special couple’s wedding day. Big thanks to her handlers who helped her arrive on time and looking camera ready. Another big thank you to Amanda, Cornman’s on site florist for creating the most beautiful garlands for Bling. It really brought out her best and made for beautiful wedding day photos. Amanda is also responsible for the incredible garland that was dripping from the ceilings in the upper barn for their reception as well as Mallory’s crown, bouquet and ceremony site.
All of their favorite family & friends were present for an intimate wedding in the front lawn and a sweet ceremony marked the start of their new journey together as husband and wife! Congratulations to everyone. What an honor to have been a small part of your wedding day and celebration together.
