That term bridal portraits sounds so old fashioned, doesn’t it? That’s ok, it kind of is. And it should be. With so many photographers out there doing crazy cool things with their brides, I find myself where I most feel comfortable… creating a timeless, breathtaking portrait of a bride. I usually spend the first part of my day after arriving in her suite in search of the best available light. And after spending a few quiet minutes with her and warming her up to my camera, I love to peel away the layers of her nervousness and feed off her anticipation of a day she’s dreamed of most of her life. I’ve always loved this part of the day. Here are my faves from 2012, along with a few of my favorites from the past 5 years.
