Today Aaron turns 18, and I’m so happy I get to share these images from our shoot a few weeks ago with his family today. And you know what I love about shooting kids like Aaron?
Everything!
Aaron is one of those kids that brings his own tenacity and personality into everything he does. He will show you his heart the minute he meets you and is straight forward with his expectations. Trust me on this, because he made me work for this shoot! I even got an occasional thumbs up, to confirm I was on the right track. Aaron is a lover of Jesus, art and …. Godzilla. I learned more about Godzilla in our 2 hours together than I ever imagine I would know my lifetime. We chose to do his shoot in Detroit at The College for Creative Studies because of his love for the arts and creativity. It was a perfect backdrop. We even broke some rules and wore our Vans where there were no “Vans” allowed, haha.
I’ve known Aaron’s parents since my college days, and shot his big brother Nathan a few years ago in Depot town. It was so great to see this beautiful family once again and reconnect for Aaron’s senior shoot.
Here’s a peek and Happy Birthday, Aaron! You are a shining light to anyone who meets you. You make your mom & dad so proud just by being you. I’ve enjoyed every minute of our time together, and love watching you grow into an incredible young man.
